What is Home Health?
Home Health is intermittent care provided in the comfort and security of your own home. Our qualified team of health care professionals work with you and your physician to establish a plan of care appropriate for your specific health needs to promote and enhance independence and security.
Who is Eligible?

To qualify for Medicare home health benefits, you must be under the care of a physician. A physician must certify that you are in need of intermittent medical care (nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy or occupational therapy) and that as a result of your condition you can only leave home occasionally or for short periods of time. Housecalls Home Health offers services to patients who are in need of intermittent medical care, regardless of race, color, national origin, handicap or age.

What Services are Available?
Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses provide skilled services that cannot be performed safely and effectively by nonprofessional personnel. Some of these services include injections, IV therapy, wound care, comprehensive assessments and education regarding disease treatments and prevention.

Home Health Aides provide the patient with assistance with normal activities of daily living such as bathing, skin care, ambulation, turning/positioning, light meal preparation and feeding.

Physical Therapists work to restore the mobility and strength of patients who are limited or disabled by physical injuries.

Occupational Therapists work to help individuals who have physical, developmental, social or emotional problems that prevent them from performing the general activities of daily living.

Speech Therapists work to develop and restore the speech of individuals with communication disorders. They can also assist patients in retaining breathing, swallowing and muscle control.

Medical Social Workers evaluate the social and emotional factors affecting ill and disabled individuals. Our medical social workers assist in identifying available community resources.
What is the cost?
Medicare is accepted as payment in full (no co-payment, no deductible) for qualified Medicare beneficiaries. Expenses may also be covered totally or in part by Medicaid, Veterans Administration or Private Insurance. Cost of care is determined by the types of services you require. Our staff will assist you in determining insurance coverage before our visits begin.
